Question about the EST connector...

I disconnected the tan wire yesterday to set the timing, but I realized my tachometer stoped working when I did that. I was wondering if I disconnected something else instead of the EST ?

As far as I know it's just fooling the ECM to stay in the open loop mode, thats why you feel like it's putting more gas into it. I did this long time ago ( the resistor is like 25 cents at RadioShack...
