Prepping moldings for paint

Hey, how would you go about prepping those moldings for paint. I can prep sheetmetal but am unsure what to use on 'plastic' moldings? If I'm gonna do 'em I wanna paint 'em right.

OK, first step-sending unit

I will replace sending unit this weekend as a first step. Autozone stocks 'em for $28. Sounds like a good place to start. Thanks for the help guys!

Yellow'd moldings on 91 RS

The bodyside moldings on my 91 RS have yellowed. Can they be brought back to life or am I looking at having to relplace them? If replacement is the answer where would I get said parts?

I replaced my driver's motor last year. It took my 14 year old & I about 2 1/2 hours of mother/ son bonding, but was not to terribly difficult. I followed along in the Haynes manual.

I'm attempting to use the Prestone flush kit as well. The instructions indicate attaching the flushing T to the heater core inlet hose coming out of the firewall.... There are two hoses! Any idea...
