At your elevation you'll probably need to go down 3 jet sizes in both the primary, and secondary sides of the carburetor.

OK, at least we know the engine is working OK, and we can move forward.

I'd go through the carburetor, clean it out, install new gaskets, and put it back to a baseline to start with.

Looking at the lift numbers the duration numbers he has listed are most likely the advertised numbers not the @ .050", so he should be OK.

If you haven't modified the baseplate to pressurize the throttle shafts, enclosing the entire carburetor in a box will eliminate that problem.

Whomever you decide to use for a carburetor make sure you let them know whether you're using an enclosure or a bonnet. This will make a big difference in the carburetor calibration.
