Do not use the 986-16 spring, it does not have enough lift capability. The valve lift .576 and you will be under .050 clearance with a 1.75 installed height. Near or at coil bind.

I respectfully disagree, keep the 1997 computer and use Jet dynamic tuning software to tune it. It works well and you can scan it with HP tuners, or others.

That is with a 200 lb driver.
The car was 3375 lbs stock, added in T56 over T-5 added extra weight, added in S60 over 9 Bolt that added an extra 100 lbs.

Thanks for the reply. I have a Strange S60 rear end in the car. The stock 9-bolt worked pretty well until I started running mid 1.6's and then I blew two of them very quickly so I put the S60 in.

Sounds like a bearing clearance issue. Were the clearances checked? It could be the pump if it is defective but clearances are my first guess.
