Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought for 1987 L98 IROC's there was no G92 option, just the 3.27 geared 9bolt.

From 1988-1989 with the L98 with 2.77 gears were standard and the 3.27...

These are the base factory seats that have been recovered in a non-factory type fabric. Ha not my cup of tea but, everyone had their own preferences.

Lol while its waiting for the heater core repair, swap in a posi traction unit. Your lucky you already have 3.42 gears. Doing the gear swap and getting my posi unit rebuilt was one of the best things...

What are the engine specs for the cars that GM used in the actual Indy 500 races? Did those cars have stock 305's or a modified 350?
You could swap in a 350 with the same specs as the actual pace...

I thought that the 1982's used the 3-speed TH-200. 1983 was the introduction of the 700r4's in the f-bodies.

Has anyone seen any of the pre-production 1986 5.7 prototype cars? I have read and heard that about 50 were produced prior to the 1987 5.7 introduction.

Yes the car has a pbr posi rear with 3.23 gears, and the N10 option dual cat exhaust as a part of the G92 performance package.

Yes GM was doing a dance with the EPA and federal emissions requirements. That's part of the reason that thirdgens had a variety of powertrains to select from. I would have liked to see a dual car...

Would I be able to pass smog if I got rid of the EGR system?
I could leave it in place to pass the visual and have it tuned out of the computer. Would that make the NOx emissions to high to pass?

1.) 1LE Brakes standard.
2.) V8 cars should have posi standard.
3.) Dual cat exhaust...
