Keep in mind that according to your profile you have TBI and I have a carb so it might be set up differently. It's not the cannister itself that went bad but the rather large looking valve that ran...

After lots of headaches and struggling, I finally did figure out the cause of my problem!

Turns out, the cannister control valve (the very large can looking valve with like 4 or so hoses running...

What is the difference between these two pictures, and is the one with the blue connector not supposed to have anything hooked up to it? The damn haynes shows both pictures and says a MAP can be on...

According to the sticker under the hood, timing is supposed to be set with the plug to the distributor disconnected, the EST. When I tried this though the car wouldn't start? Any ideas? Thanks
