Broken sensor?

Noticed a broken sensor or something not quite sure what it is, it's on the rear passenger block behind and below the EGR and looks like it is screwed into the block and has a single wire connector...

Hmm, thats the same circut I built the first time, but I used solid strand wire, and could get nothing to flow across. Wonder if my wire choice, while free and sitting in the room, was a poor choice.
