Backfire out the intake is lean mixture OR spark crossing over OR intake valves not sealing OR exhaust valves not opening. You have a lot to check out. I have the same setup in my Jeep and I couldn't...

Sorry about the time gone by...
If I do this right, there should be a working bin for vortec/tbi. I believe EGR is activated. 5.7vortec/tbi,700r4,456 gears, 35" tires...some 3rd gen huh?

Sandor, what injectors do you have? If they are from your 305...might be a problem.

I agree with Pandin-you may be in PE. You might want to check you NB & WB sensors at idle & light load to see if they agree. If they don't, then troubleshoot that FIRST!

The knock sensor should be on the lower part of the block. This should be a temp sensor OR fan switch.

41 degrees is a lot of timing. That will raise your NOX and HC for sure! I agree with RednGold86Z: burn your own with minimal timing, just for the test. Don't forget to make sure the base timing is...

I don't have my tuning computer with me but... I have to remove a blank space BEFORE and AFTER the forward slash ( / ) on the line that has the MAP values, then the value and the column lines up...

Just to throw in my .02. An engine-any engine will be most efficient at its peak torque-meaning the most output of energy to unit of fuel. At this point we are making maximum torque-not the best way...

At 1900 rpm @ 60mph you need to make sure you aren't close to PE. EGR will need to be utilized for the best highway MPG. IMHO
