Yes they are chrome plated. and they were felpro (sp?) rubber gaskets. someone told me that i need to get some thicker style valve covers, mine right now are really thin and made out of a tin like...

well i bought and switched out the old gaskets a while back and that didnt stop it, but i think the previous owner maybe wayyy over torqued the bolts to where it bent the shape of the valve covers...

Well i have a stock engine right now (besides for some crap pure low end torque cam the previous owner install so i was told) But i swapping to carb so i can tune myself and upgrade little by little...

SO i found out the other day that i had to again buy another set of headers... this will be my 3rd set in a little over 2 months.
The first set just got legitimately damaged by a "custom" y-pipe...
