Cheap way is getting another used T-5 Best way is T-56. By the time you replace all the broken gears in that trans you have you could get a used T-56

With the 4th gen box you can actually get a nice volume of air coming out of the vents. My car is a vert and I can keep myself and 2 passengers comfortable in 95* heat.
3rd gen's dont blow much air...

Using the whole 4th gen hvac system is probably easier. I Swapped the entire system over.

looks like you need to move the pass side fender in and raise that side of the front bumper up. The bumper has a lot of adjustment.

Yes the blower is under the dash. Only thing sticking out under the hood is the Evap.

The time it takes to track down the parts, Get measurements and probably screw up the first...

So I also just installed LS1 brakes in the front and now the wheel sticks out way to far with 2" spacers. I felt that 2" was too much even before the brake upgrade. I am also leaning twards 1.5"...

I have been asked that a lot. Its not too bad but you have to be committed to making it work. You have to do a lot of cutting.

That compressor will run your paint gun. Its going to be murder if you plan on sand blasting the whole car using that compressor tho. Sand blaster will eat a lot of CFM

Works awesome. I get a lot more air volume out of the vents over the 3rd gen blower setup. My car Is a vert that had horrible seals and it would still cool the car well in 90* days. I will try to...

I also used budget paint and ended up using almost 2 gallons of color and 1.5 gallons of clear. Coverage is super important when painting a car in pieces. If you don't get full coverage the panels...

My 89 I painted had a badly ripped front bumper. I was able to repair it but like Tibo said, the amount of time alone is worth jut finding another bumper. I understand if you are on a super tight...
