If you are using a 6L90 that has a 4 to 1 low gear I think that a 390 rear gear is way to much gear.

Are you saying that it cranks normaly but wont start, or that it wont start because it is cranking slow . Slow cranking when warm could be a bad starter or one that is heat soaked.

I have never had a 2.8, but if I remember corectlly the 2.8 and TPI had high pressure pumps and the TBI had a lower pressure pump. Is there a chance that got a TBI pump by mistake ? One of the parts...

Clear flood mode is holding the throttle all the way to the floor while cranking. This should shut off the injectors , so if you were over fueling or flooding it would help clear the flooding...

When you plan for an engine swap, be it a v6 to a v8 or gen 1 small block to big block or any of those to an LS or an LT engine, you have to think about anything that connect to that new engine...

Just as a reality check, the all stock LC9 5.3 that I put in my 91 camaro made 276 rwhp . The all stock LS3 that I replaced it with made 368 rwhp.
