I'll post in this thread at least 6 months from now, after my Camaro is painted. I really hate my factory Ultra Blue Metallic.



I do not know who's black IROC this is, they may or may not be a member here, but black sure does look a LOT better. It's also my background, basically my inspiration.

Thanks. I kind of like the blue, but it's just not for me. I keep on thinking about keeping it blue, just getting it resprayed in Ultra Blue Metallic, it might grow on me.

Black is absolutely stunning though, but it'll be a huge pain to keep clean, I'm confused over the whole deal.

Then again, maybe I should quit worrying about image so much, I'm being a r!cer.

Sure! If you've got a black 1985 or 1987 IROC with a 350/383 with a T-5/T-56 already, for trade!

I already solved the problem with my 1986, the CHMSTL on the hatch, it looks awkward. I bought a spoiler from an 88 IROC-Z. I still have to get around to drilling the holes, since there's a different bolt pattern.

On the bright side, if I do keep my blue, that means I won't have to buy 2+ gallons of black paint, I'll save upwards of $1,000 on paint alone, that means nitrous, or a Dana rear might fit into my budget.

I've always had a sweet spot for Ultra Blue Metallic Iroc's...

When I was 3 years old, I had a Blue 1985 IROC-Z Matchbox car simliar to yours... I would throw a tantrum if any-one tried to take it away or attempt to play with it... haha... Needless to say my love for third-gens (of all colors) is decades deep...
