MAF sensor in Dallas?

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has a MAF sensor I can borrow. I'd buy one but I don't have time to get one off the internet and I'd be danged if I gave Autozone $250 for a MAF.

So here's the deal. I've got a bad MAF and I just rebuilt my engine. A year ago I rebuilt my tranny and it didn't work right so I kept bringing it back to the shop, they told me that it was the engine's fault and the tranny was fine. Anyhow, now I have everything back together but I can't get it to the shop considering my MAF is toast (It's the maf, I checked the relays and they're working). The kicker is that I'm going out of town on Monday and I'd like to bring the firebird to the shop so while I'm gone, they can work on it. SO, if someone has a MAF sensor I can either borrow for a month or buy from them, I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks.

hey Bruce - I think I've met your before. Didn't you join the CFCC a few years ago...and your car had a gray hood at the time?
I had the blue 89 IROC with a 6-spd and 355 back then.
Anyway, what work do you need the shop to do? I could possibly help you out and save you some money. I know O-Reillys sells the MAF for only about $160-180. Also you may want to call 972-412-9400 and ask. It's a company that parts out Thirdgens.
Well..good luck and let me know!

BJ, Jason,

Good to hear from both of you... Yeah. I know the part stores have the MAF, I just don't want to shell out $150 for one if I could get one for cheaper.

Jason, my hood is STILL grey.. =o) Yeah.. I've been out of a job for 2 years now so I still don't have the money to go and paint it.. But hopefully I will some day.. I supercharged it finally. Hopefully I can go to the track or dyno the thing one of these days.. I don't actually need any work done to it.. The work that's been done is what I'm having problems with..

If you're still working at the dealer, do you have a hookup with the paint/body guys?

Good to hear from ya'll.

Nah...I quit the dealer about 2 1/2 years ago. Now I do graphic design for tax software, and work on f-bodies as a side job.
I don't have any body shop hook-ups anymore

Thanks Jason,
I saw those and I've got them on my watch list. Thing is if I get win them, I'll be out of town by the time it gets here.. *sigh* I called Wells and they said the only people that carry the Wells MAF is World Discounts.. Or Carquest and I'm calling the guy right now and I asked for the SU145 and he said, "F-U? 125?" I just about cracked up..

WOoHOO!! Carquest can get me one today! I'm happy.. For cheaper than World Discounts! I'm all about that.. =o)

Thanks for your help. We should get together one of these days.. That is once I get back..
