1991 Camaro RS 383
Hey guys. I have my 91 RS for sale as i simply dont have time to finish it up. Quick run-through of what is what; Teal paint is starting to flake. tires are good, dash is 95% (one small crack on the corner) Seats need replacing of course. I swapped out the 305 tbi to a stroked out 383 with a high rise intake. So of course i had to make alot of changes. I swapped out the 600cfm holly for a 750 demon. new starter, new flywheel, new seals, new tranny mounts, alot of new parts replaced during the swap. the tranny is still a 700r4. If you would like to hear the car running with the edelbrock headers go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6rXbbdb3vk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5erNfR3ac0. Keep in mind this is when she first started up. out of timing and tune. i also have 3 inch exhaust that would come with the car as well as 90% of the receipts. there are about 15k miles on the motor. there are a few issues of course.....the fuel plate block off needs to be tapped and re-threaded. (simple enough job to do though). the car is a passion of mine but as med school is kicking my a$$ right now, id like to see someone else make something of it instead of sittign in my garage. Perhaps I will be lucky enough to try again when the time is right later in life. Serious offers only please. I would like to see 1500.00 for it. I feel that it is pretty cheap, let me know wsup through the private messages. thanks guys.

Re: 1991 Camaro RS 383
As far as it being a daily driver I am really not sure as I have only taken it for a few quick drives here and there as it si not 100% completed. It starts and runs consistantly---yes. Gas mileage I have no idea, but I have only been running super unleaded and with a 383 do not expect to have great mileage. The demon 750 carb is very nice though. Of course there is also a 3 way fuel regulator on it cuttign the psi to about 6. As I have stated above, the fuel plate block off cover needs to be retapped. other that and the 3 inch exhaust to be tac-welded into place, shes pure fun to drive.
----------
the best specs i can recall with no doubt is the 11:1 compression, major cam with lope of 540. i can and will put anyone into touch with the guy who built it.

Ok, no takers at 1500.00 so I'll drop the price to 1250.00. If I dont sell it by the end of the week I'll check in to see how much storage will cost per month.

Re: 1991 Camaro RS 383
Hey Doc,
Got to tell us more about the engine: 15k miles is more than a few quick jaunts around town.
383 is bored AND stroked. Know anything about the internal parts?
Im seriously interested, but need more info.
Best advice to you is put it back in the garage until you are ready to tackle it again. Paint is nothing. A daily driver it is not. "Emissions Legal" it is probably not. You must have far more than $1250 in the engine if someone else did it up for you (Big John in LC?).
If you are crunched and need $ for school, well that's tough.
PM if you like. You are giving up too much for too little, if your descriptions above are accurate.

Re: 1991 Camaro RS 383
Like I said for anyone interested I will put you into touch with the guy who put the motor together. I do not worry about school being paid for as I am a veteran and it is taken care of. School has gotten too intense for me to care much about this car anymore. The motor is bored out and a fresh install of a 1800.00 or so Stroker kit. Mileage on the motor is close to 15k. I bought the car from my fiances dad about a year ago. I bought the motor from the guy when he was on tough times in an effort to help him out, now I find myself in the current situation of absolutely no time for it.
Passion is still there but; Thats Life!!
Thanks Again.

Re: 1991 Camaro RS 383
As of now the car is sold to Alex and if that changes for any reason I will let the other offers standing have it and if any of that changes it will just go into storage.
