So I'm new to the board, but not to F cars. I special ordered my '83 T/A from a dealer in Illinois in May of 83 and still have it. A red WS6 5.0L T-5 T-Top car with 3.73s and fresh air hood. I got a few other trinket options and to day the car is basically stock and original. Even the wipers and brakes are assembly line pieces.
I did get into the motor however (who hasn't?) as the harmonic damper fell off in '84. I put in a new crank and some buddies helped me tweek it with a cam and intake. It ran a best of 14.7 @ 96 1/4 on the original 215/15s. Not smoking but not bad I suppose.
It sits in the garage with the original paint (sadly with a ding and a few little scratches) and 62 thousand miles these days, I'm hoping the F car values will go up someday.
