I live in williamsburg, not too far from richmond. I see a few thirdgens down here in hampton roads. I have a 84 z myself that i'm putting together( slow process). Do you ever go to richmond dragway or dinwiddie? I hear they do shows south of richmond on rt 10 on friday nights. In Hampton the have a nice show every saturday at Bass Pro Shop right off 64/mercury blvd.

I'm right in between Richmond and C'ville. My Camaro isn't much to look at right now, but I take my Nova to the big Cruise-ins in Orange in the summer. Seen only 1 third gen there though...

I bought my 86 Sport Coupe in Chesterfield, Va almost 3 years ago.
The seller (I know him as Peanut) said they don't have a lot a use for Camaros as most of his hobby was in circle track racing. He'd probably buy any Monte Carlo I could come up with.
I'm down that way every year golfing near Fredericksburg.
Where do folks cruise?

The biggest Cruise-in I know of is in Orange... 3rd Saturday of the month starting in April or May - I'll have to check.

Anybody interested in a 3rd gen meet up on Wednesday nights?

Heres the deal.... there is a 4th gen group that meets on Wednesday nights. I got to talking to one of the guys tonight and he said they meet and help each other with their cars, go to the drag stip, have events (trips, etc...). He said that they would like to have more Camaro guys there (any generation)....any one interested? I'm trying to see if there is enough interest here to get something organized.......

Yea i know i would be down for getting a meeting together somewhere in VA. I would be limited to the times i could meet because of college, but december-ish and over the summer would work well. I know where I'm from third gens are getting harder to find and people who care about them are even harder so going to a meet where there are people as passionate as i am is definitely something i would make time for

hey guys me and a few others are planing a all fbody cruise on the blue ridge parkway on the 29th if anyone is interested.

I'm in Northern Virginia, near Washington D.C., and I almost never see third generations on the road. The ones I do see don't even so much as wave? I've been to a few car shows, Sully plantation, Culpeper, Warrenton, Manassas and Leesburg. No interest from judges, but alot from other car enthusiasts. Everyone that stops to look asks, "Is this thing original"? More than a few reminisce and tell me thier stories of love gained and lost in there thirds. At all the shows I've been the only third. I must say it gets lonely parked next to big money 1st and 2nd generations. I'd like to get together with some third generations for a ride or show, just to chew the fat with fellow third gen owners. LETS DO THIS! Before the weather gets lousy.

1985 Iroc, TPI, Black and Grey, 20,000 original miles, the entire car is original and shows like new. Hard top, no electric doors, windows or hatch-but it does have A/C! Y'all from Richmond and Virginia Beach know what A/C means down here. The only changes are a cup holder in the middle console and an after market Alpine unit, speakers and kicker.

I don't know if you guys and gals have been there, but if you want to meet at a hands down gorgous spot to meet or cruise, look up SKYLINE DRIVE! Mountains and Scenery are crazy! I'm taking my motorcycle up next weekend. Hope to see ya soon

Thats what we will be doing on the 29th of this month will be a few thirdgens going from my area. we most likely will not ride skyline since i believe you have to pay and unsure how many are down for that right now. we are planing to ride on the Blue Ridge parkway side. ive been to a couple of shows this year since i picked up my 92 its nice to have a thirdgen i can take out and drive again until my 86 is back together. there is a ALL fbody show that goes on every spring in Martinsburg WVa i went to the one in 2010 and there were 3 or 4 thirdgens there most were 1st gens or 4th gens.

Yes it will be on the 29th of october gona try to get everyone together around 12-2 that day and meet up somewhere at the base of the mountian in Waynesboro va. I'm gona try to ride out that way this weekend and look for a good place that's easy to find for everyone to gather before the ride. So far I know of atleast 5 that are for sure going been posting about it all over here and ls1tech even on a fbody forum I'm on thays based in the Hampton roads area lol.
