Our local club is inviting all TGO members to come to our meet on Sept 11th at Battleship Parkway in Mobile AL. We should have some food, cars, and good people. We have never really invited TGO members from all over the S.E. to come so we have no clue how big or small this may be

If enough people make a overnight trip of it, I will set up a dinner or cruise in the night before (10th) For people wanting a hotel get one in Daphne or Spanish Fort AL

If I go straight over there I will do that.. however I've got to go see my brother in Mobile so I'm probably going over a day or two early. For some reason I keep hearing slot machines in my head.. hmmm Biloxi perhaps?!

I will probably trailer my car over to my brother's house in Fairhope Friday.. then go to Biloxi without it.. Sat night I'll be back in Fairhope and would drive the Iroc over to the ship Sunday morning. If I even get the car done by then, it won't be enough time for shakedown cruises and tuning to make a 700 mile trip on its own!

so i have a problem with my my cluster dont work at all mo mph no tach no fuel its all dead and i changed the fuse and it keep blowing them so i just left it out for now is my cluster bad? it happend the other night on my way to work out of the blue now at night with my headlights on i got a buzzing sound from the dash like the headlights are on with out the car on i need to fix this asap since the meet is sept 11th i really dont wanna drive with nuttin working at all my luck i would get pulled over for speeding

do the gauges themselves not work or the guage illumination?. if it happens with your headlights, you haven't changed or messed with anything, and it is buzzing, sounds to me like the switch might be bad, which is causing a short and thus the rest of your issues. be careful with the "nut" that holds the switch in place as both the switch and the nut have plastic threads that strip easy and the last time i looked no one made a replacement part for it if it gets stripped.

i'm debating if i want to come to this. I'm in Crestview.

its happens when you turn the key on there all dead nuttin works now when i turn the headlights on i they light up but there still dead no tach or anything thing

thanks i just order a cluster from hawks thirgen 100 bucks plus shipping for a used with that has the 140 mph right now i have the 120 so it will be a lil bit off but im gonna be puting in a 3.73 rearend soon

it will not be off, all of the speedos use same input (pulses in yor case rpm's of the cable in older ones) when you swap out gears you will have to change your speedo gears or sender i think, im not to sure on how you change the eletric clusters sender

satureday or sunday is good with me i got my new element air cleaner and air lid it makes a differnce off the line and mid power prolly do better in cold weather my new dash cluster is on its way i hope that fixes it this no working gauges aint working for me .

at this point a change of date would not be good . a change in time , no problem . just my thoughts . in my area (ms. gulf coast) the only reason many wear a watch is to know how late they are .

I'd want it on Sun. Sounds like Steve is planning on gambling on Sat, and it'd be nice to see all his efforts into his car of late. I see no reason why 12 wouldn't be a good compromise time.
How about the Starbucks by Pine Forest and 9 mile Rd for meeting up with those east of us. It's north off I-10, use exit 7 (Pine Forest Rd). maybe a mile up from the interstate.
Kurt, my car has a new input shaft seal compliments of a fellow third owner. I hope that stops the trans/dshaft from leaking. The ride there should be a good test. I may not need a new driveshaft after all. We'll see. Otherwise she's fine.

I'm ok with either day. The only difference being that if I don't have my Iroc with me I'm likely going to head back home Sat night. If you do it on Saturday, I'll be in Mobile anyway and will stop by. Also there is a cruise in Saturday night in Mobile. I think it is mostly 'tuners' and not so rwd oriented, but that doesn't stop me from showing up. See info below..

I'm giving it a 50/50 chance that the Iroc will be there. My SRP pistons ended up being pretty light and I'm going to the machine shop in a few minutes to find out if I've got to get the rotating assembly rebalanced. If so, it won't look good for bringing the Iroc. Also I have to file fit a total of 40 rings. All in a night's work I'm sure Now on the plus side, I've got all of my parts except the head gaskets, which will be here next week. I have enough cash in the bank to take some time off to complete this. It's in the hands of the machine shop and their balancing act at this point.

Biloxi casinos have gone insane!!! $289 a night at Hard Rock for friday night in mid sept?!?? Time for an RV I guess.
