Whats going on guys. I've had my 3rd gen for a couple years, but suprisingly I'm just now making an account on this forum (always on ls1tech). I just wanted to post up and say hey and introuduce myself. Name is Eric, live just outside of Jacksonville Fl, I'm in college studying business and I have two F-bodys.

First off the 3rd Gen:
1985 Trans Am, 305TPI, 700r4 4 speed overdrive, performance suspension, grey cloth interior with metallic blue/silver two tone exterior.
All original (except normal things liike tires, battery, 134a A/C conversion). And best of all my father bought the car new and it currently only has 34,9XX miles! The interiors is mint, exterior has a few blemishes unfortunately (goddamn door dings). I've grown up with this car in the family and I have no plans to sell it.

Next, my ls2 swapped '98 z28 (hence the forum name I use):
Sebring Silver Metallic 1998 Camaro z28, 6.0 ls2 swap, Vengeance Racing Vindicator II Cam, unported ls2 heads with supporting valvetrain mods, Fast 90mm Intake, Nick WIlliams 90mm TB, Built 4l60e with 3500 stall, slp LT's, True duals, 3.73's, BMR rear suspension, Bilstien Shocks, zr1 wheels 11 inches wide up front 12 inches in rear, the list goes on...

I made this account trying to find a good write up on a water pump install for my 85 because I had a leaky water pump cover gasket that needed replacing, but I'm already almost done with that project, just need to reintsall accessories with new belts.
But anyways, I hope to see some of y'all (and you're cars) around at the track or at local events

Welcome, I'm i palatka, south of you. nice cars. Hope to meet you someday. I would like to get a place for all of us up to meet up one day. I was thinking of green cove springs, kind of central. I figured I would start something maybe others will jump in.

I'm down. Its always a good time getting together with a bunch of gear heads. Green Cove is good with me, only about 20-25 mins from my house. There is a GM car club up here in Jax called River City Performance (RCP) who put on meets and cruises. Everyone meets up, we all cruise to a restaraunt or car museum or something, then cruise back. Its a good time, but its a pretty long drive for you

Re: New FL Member (with ride pics)

Yes, it's a long drive thats why I've never gone to one. We have a really big car show here in palatka in november. They close part of downtown and the all the cars are on display along the river. It's part of blues fest. One of the car clubs sets up the meet. They have all kinds of cars in the show, it is open to all. Maybe next year we can get a lot of 3rd gens together and make a nice showing. My wife and I go and show her 81 vette, take the dog and walk around. Lots of food, music and rides for young kids. But palatka is a out of way to get to. I have seen some really nice 3rd gens and these people don't about this forum.
Lets see if we can get this green cove springs thing going.

Re: New FL Member (with ride pics)

How far is palataka from south Jax? I didnt think it was too far, 45-60 mins? That Nov show sounds cool, might need to bring both cars down for it. If I do I will probably be able to get another 5-10 guys/cars to come, pretty much only 4th gens tho, maybe a stang or 2.. Same if the greencove thing gets going. Do you know of a location in GC?

Re: New FL Member (with ride pics)

Just found no car show this year. First time in the 10 years I'm here. I think the club that ran it disbanded.

There's a show happening in March in Orlando. Bring the car down and I can work the dents out for you. Here's details on the show.

Re: New FL Member (with ride pics)

Y'all got a pretty good list going, sounds like it would be a good time. I would have to find a way to bring both cars out. And I wouldnt mind getting the dents worked on. But they are more dings than dents, the worst one is on the contour line down the door. Would it still be possible to get that out even if its on the line?

Re: New FL Member (with ride pics)

Depends on the damage. Every dent is different. If all of your dents are just small little dings the size of a finger nail or less, it might cost about $125. Could be more based on the number of dents or it could be less if they are very easy to remove. Usually, it's based on quantity and how hard they are to work.
