Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
1) The signal lamps are fogged up like it has 100K miles on it.
2) The CAMARO letters are worn off on the grill surround.
3) It's lowered - something you wouldn't expect on such a low miles car.
4) Missing the TUNED PORT INJECTION emblem on the rear fascia and where's the license plate frame?
5) Missing the right rear wheel center cap.
6) Valve covers sure are oily and engine compartment shows some wear and tear, beyond what you'd expect for a 1K miles car.
7) What's the deal with the Walmart wheel and seat covers, worn carpet and e - brake handle and it looks like the console has popped under the flea market drinkholder armrest thingy.
8) Who the heck would put a hillbilly B&M shifter on a 1K mile car?
9) Missing screw out of the cig lighter bezel.
10) Rust on steering wheel spoke.
11) Letters worn on wiper switch.
Stuff like that.....

lock button letters are worn off. Looks like the odo has been rolled 2 times maybe 3. We had a 91 or 92 firebird with throttlebody 305 just over 400,000 miles on it and it looked like this car inside.

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
My guess is it has rolled at-least once. it is possible it could have 101K miles, but not 1007.
There was an IROC (dont know which dealership) at a KIA dealership in JAX that looked like it was in really good shape. i think it was fairly low miles too but they wanted i think around $15K for it. can't find it now ...

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
It has to be at least 101k, look at the screw holding the washer container in, and replace the rear possible bose speaker tray with 6x9s, I don't think so, scam for sure.

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
Shouldn't it have to get to a million before it rolls? My '89 shows that it has 142K miles, not 42k

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
i know my iroc rolls at 100K. based on the pictures this one does to. my 92 rolls at 1M. just a difference in times. back in these days if you got more than 100K miles it was time for a new car or a complete rebuild. my old TR7 was the same rolled at 100K and you were lucky to roll it over 10K without a rebuid (an no i'm not missing any zeros). i think more sepcifically though since the camaro's didn't change dash design until 1990 they used the old style speedo's which rolled at 100K, that is probably the difference between your GTA and the IROC.

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
I saw something messed up at the first glance i looked at that car. there is no way that car is low mileage. Plus they changed out the pedals with those ugly aftermarket type. more like 101K miles. Dealers normally dont know what there doing anyway when they get these cars, so it came to no surprise to me.

And yes I agree, there are many tell-tale signs the car is not low mileage (front end is too low, marker lights are fogged, the antenna is wrong, etc.

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
I called on this car the day it was posted before it had pics up about 2 weeks ago. Dealer said it has 110k. Wish they'd change the ad to reflect the real mileage.

If it really is 110K, then its "beyond mechanical limits" and their statment is fraudulant.

Re: 1k mile 88 IROC
Definitely a 100k plus car, but it's in pretty decent shape given the mileage. The hillbilly stuff on it is easily reversed... engine looks like it needs all new seals and gaskets, though.
