Don't forget, one of those F*** trucks has been hauling Amanda and most of the TGO equipment to the Gatherings for 5 years now. At least it's not a freaking Toyota!

Thanks Kevin. Just for the record. My next truck will be a Duramax.

Wasn't it a Toyo that pulled the space shuttle? LOL Funny you mention the toyo's, we got in a 2014 GMac p-up this past week. One of the guys at the shop said it looked like a toyo, I kind of agree. They're all good for something. I still have to fix them all.

Re: F Body Gathering Atlanta Memorial Weekend May 24-27

Hi Danny,

Did they use a Toy-ota to haul the shuttle?

Up here in the mountains they use a lot of road salt in the winter. Those Toy-ota trucks seem to rust-out and fall apart real fast. If you get behind one, don't follow too closely, as you may get hit by rusted pieces falling off of the truck.

Glad you and Lu Ann made it up to NC and back home safely this weekend.

Don't take me too seriously about the F*** truck jokes. I don't take the jokes or myself seriously at all. Every year I drive a F*** truck to an event for GM people and GM cars. I should expect to get flamed. Just love to pick at folks. It's all in the name of good fun. I guess I'll catch h*** from this group if I ever purchase a 5th gen. I'm not sure how I am going to work it all out, but if things go right I am going to replace my 07 Crown Vic with a 2104 2SS with a 6 speed in dark blue. Going to give the like new 55K mile vic to my 80 Y/O dad and stepmom. They are living on a fixed income, and are in a mess for a car. They have two worn out old Caddy's and a 78 F-250. All three vehicles have seen better days. They will love and enjoy that big old car.

Thanks for watching Whitebird for me on Friday. I don't trust many people with my stuff, but I do trust you. And thanks for all of your hard work on that stupid canopy with no assembly directions. I promise to assemble it in our driveway this summer, and mark everything with colored tape, since I have proved that I can't read printed numbers. At G-18 it should go together fast, because even short bus kids like me know our colors.

so who's going this year? I'm registered, but both of wife's parents have cancer, so depending on the timing of how that progresses, I know there's a chance I'll have to cancel

Bummer to hear of the family issues. Hope all turns out well.

I've been to the Gathering the last 5 years. Great time. However, this year I don't get beck from sea until the week after . Oh well, I'm planning on doing the Power Tour a week later to make up for it

Sorry to hear Mark. Maybe things will work out for you. Most of the group has migrated over the ****** Milita on Facebook. It looks like we will have a combined group this year, MM & TGO. Mostly the same people, and not much else has changed. Bob, sorry you have to miss this year. Be safe, shoot lots of pirates, and post pics from the Power Tour. We are thinking about doing the Power Tour from Knoxville to Indiana. The Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge show is the same weekend as the PT comes through Knoxville, and the PPF is over by 11AM on Sunday. We plan to attend the PPF, and may jump on the PT Sunday afternoon. After four spinal fusion surgeries, I don't think I can stand to drive the TA up there and back. If we go, we may have to drive the F-350. At least we can be a support vehicle, and haul some tools and extra gear for anyone who does not have room in their vehicle. Nothing in stone for us yet. it will be a hectic year. Taxes hitting us hard this year, new grand baby due in March and a great grand baby due in June. I am undergoing some surgical biopsies in the next few weeks, and a lot depends on what they find. Either way, we are going to try to make it to G-18.

Thanks, I just changed my subscription on MM to give me notifications of all posts. I'm a member of the group, but miss most of what goes on there because I don't click on it enough.

If somebody starts a post here, bump this thread as a notification
