thirdgen dilema AAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Ok I just moved to El Paso Tx, which in itself isnt that bad since I have my car plated in Indiana. Ya right, FT Bliss requires us to meet all El Paso county emissions laws regardless of where we have our plates. So now the 383 I was going to build is basically shot. Only emission shorty headers I can use and the HSR doesnt have egr provissions not to mention the upgraded injectors are going to put me way over carbon testing. So I can either I sell the car, use it as a daily driver since the LB9 has already passed emissions and build something else, or get suggestions on how to possibly pass emissions from current third gen owners. So what two cents do you all have.

a few bottles of rubbing alcohol doesn't hurt. Use about 3 large bottles with half tank. Works in Phoenix.

I had that same issue when I was at luke it phoenix, Had IL plates and had to pass emissions to get the sticker, you gotta make friends with somebody that issues the stickers! haha But seriously, Dont scrap your build. With a good tune you can make it through emissions lacking some of the equipment.
Not having an EGR might put you over on Nox, that is where the rubbing alcohol comes into play, to cool the combustion temps and reduce Nox.
If you have a good cat you should be pretty good on HC and CO. Run it through and then post your #'s on here, lots of knowledge can get you up to snuff.

Drive to holloman AFB and get your stickers there i am pretty sure New Mexico has no emissions standards.
I though the air force didn't require any sticker anymore?

I was stationed at Holloman for 5 1/2 years. In Otero County they do not have emissions so you would be fine to go up there and register it. It's only a little over an hour away. The Air Force no longer requires stickers but to get on an Army post they do still require you to get a DD Form 2220(windshield sticker).
