The cowl choice should encompass all types of cowl hoods regardless of height or style, ie the jungblood (SP?) hood
Also, this is not meant to upset our precious Firebird owners, it's just that there are different hood choices per body style, and I just happen to have an attachment to the Camaro

The SS Ram Air or the cowl hood get my vote. Those other hoods are junk.
The 4th gen WS6 Ram Air hood has to be the worst thing ever grafted onto a 3rd gen. At least the Camaro one looks like it lines up. The fit on the Firebird version is horrible.

Get the one like Jerry has. They make it now to fit the Y-intake of TPI cars. Then you should paint your car a maroon'ish color. Then strap in a Rodeck (sp?) aluminium block with a 300 shot that is matched to a 4500 RPM stall 3.0 STR stall convertor on your new set of real drag slicks. Then get a 6-car garage for your own personal machine shop where you'll stay awake at night planning your avenge on a certain drag team. Then callout a lowly college student running a "warmed over" tree-fifty
......or get a cowl like Jerry's and just be done with it

I guess I'm just enthused about this one because it looks like it would be great on mine:

I wish someone would take the time to make a factory looking glass/composite hood that would accept the IROC/Z28 hood louvers. …but if I had to pick one it would be the cowl.

Now IMHO the only way the SS hood works well on a thirdgen camaro is when you also have the 91-92 Z28 High Rise Spoiler, then it's a terrific combo. But since I want to keep the IROC style spoiler I don't think the car balances out very well asthetically. For an example I used the following picture refrences:
http://www.cardomain.com/id/92camarors
Now this is not a 'FLAME' at all aganist this thirdgen, I just want to point out that until the addition of his 'wing' I think the front end didn't quite hold it's lines very well. But then again that is why I created this poll because I figured we all had our own

didnt ascd say they were going to make a glass iroc style hood (ie for the louvers)?
Imo the daytona hood=TJ
the jongbloed=eh i dont like how curvy it is, when our cars arnt.....especially on a long flat hood
Cowls=i dont liek the big ones, but the small ones look tastefull
ss=I like it, though i think it matches the 91-92 gfx better then the earlier style iroc ones.

My favorite hood would have to be the cowl induction ones. I like the 3 inch Cervini cowl and the harwoods are nice too. 4 inch ones are okay. The SS hood looks sharp too.

Did you get the car repainted? Or just the hood painted to match the car when you purchased the hood?

I just had the hood color matched. Although it wasn't all that great of a match due to the paint being over 10 years old now. Hopefully in a few months I'll get the car repainted in full. Nothing expensive just a earl swachb job, until I'm done with the car engine and tranny wise, then I'll go ahead and spend the big bucks.
