Articles on new GM motor

Here is an article in Scientific American on a new GM V-8 motor that uses telescoping lifters and computer mumbo jumbo to control the number of cylinders that fire. Its an effort to conserve un-needed fuel. Pretty interesting.

Anybody remember the Cadillac V8-6-4 from years (decades?) ago? It sounds like it might actually work this time.

I look at one of those piece of craps everyday of my life. There is an old caddy limo that the owner of CWtile has sitting in the yard for years- Its in great shape but has always run like crap. We used to cruise it inside the warehouse doing laps around the pallets- About 50yrds square course.
