Anza-Borrego Cruise

We will be doing the cruise on Saturday, Jan 24. I think I've found a route for us to take, I just need to make a "dry run" and see how the road is and find a place to meet for breakfast. I'm thinking to meet for Breakfast off the 15 near Lake Elsinor. I'm hoping to find a reasonably priced restaurant with a private or semi-private dining room for us to use. I would like to have time to go over the route and pass out maps to everyone before we set out.

Just South of Lake Elsinor we catch Bundy Canyon Road East which becomes Scott Road when it crosses Murrieta Road. Scott Road crosses the 215 and continues to Hwy 79 which is Winchester Canyon Rd. Right past 79, Scott Road turns hard South. It then becomes Washington Ave., goes past the west side of Lake Skinner and turns East becoming Boreli Rd. We follow Boreli Rd. to the end, and turn right on California Rd. We turn left on Benton Road which then intersects with Sage Road, which is the route we took out of Hemet last year.

Sounds good. We miss the Hemet traffic. Allen

Re: Anza-Borrego Cruise

I'm mainly not sure what Scott Road is like. It looks like there might be some housing developments around Scott Road between the 15 & the 215. I'm hoping that we don't have too many stops signs or traffic lights. If we do, I'm going to drive the route and find a wide place to form up after we leave the built up area.

Re: Anza-Borrego Cruise

That whole area has had a lot of housing construction. I have not been on Scott road either.
