Great goal!! I'd come see you if I had problems, but--
You'd have to be rocking Queens Ryche on a kickin' system!! Lol!!!
I could pay you in gum...or a big fat juicy steak from the grill, or, if you're REAL expensive, both!! Lol!!
Best hopes to you!!

Re: How do you fund your build/mods?

I am going to be the weirdest heart surgeon. Showing up to the Hospital in the car from hell blasting Queensrych "I don’t believe in love!". Then telling everyone they Need Jesus (Yup, I'm a devout Christian as well). After I get a job I'll get tattoo sleeves. That is far from the stereotypical drug dealing gangsta that people think drives these cars.

Re: How do you fund your build/mods?

Sincere apology!! I hope I didn't offend you in any way!!
I like The Rez Band, & have met Glen a few times. He & his wife have been to the Church I used to go to a few times, as has Greg Volz from Petra.
They would drop by for a visit some times, & some times to jam with the worship band.
Talked to Neil Zaza a couple times. He stayed at the apartment for a few days just b4 I moved in.
Yup, I go to Church every-other-Sunday due to work schedule, & I like the edgy sounds of metal like " Babylon Is Burning " ( Rez Band )
and " Jet City Woman " I can't find my Zaza cd, but I also like his technical abilities.
Daniel Band & White Heart bring back old memories!!

I took no offence to anything yo said. My worship leader toured with Jethro Tull. He's not into third gens but he likes my scary paint.

Re: How do you fund your build/mods?

BA and MBA and work as a software consultant for Fortune 100 companies. Only downside is working on the cars takes forever when you're on the road 4 or 5 days a week for your day job.

Just remember to pace yourself and never disassemble until you have everything you expect to need to reassemble.

Re: How do you fund your build/mods?

Mikey

The best things I have done financially is get a BS and then an MS. I am a systems engineer now for a large defense corporation. Hate the cubicle but the technical aspect never gets dull.

I had a roommate once that went down the FIDM path for a few years but it petered out. (I should add his college courses also petered out lol). Depends on your ultimate goal but a degree from a university will put you in a different category of career potentials.

Anyway sorry to provide some unsolicited advise, it can be annoying I know. Im not a degree snob at all and think people should do what they enjoy, but again getting those has taken me into a solid profession. I will still have to work 40 hrs a week for 35+ years, but most people probably will. Starting your own business would be the best goal I think actually, but even then a BS Business or similar is a good investment (just in case).

Good luck

Re: How do you fund your build/mods?

Recently I've been transporting illegal immigrates across the border in exchange for copious amounts of cocaine to fund my crooked horse racing circle. Then I launder the money through international arms deals and get it back through foreign dignitaries I have befriended and bribed. Then I move the money through different countries to up the net percentage gain. Then I reinvest it in real-estate scams. But I always give 10% at church on Sundays

I am 35 years old and own a consulting company in the exotic car market, along with being a full time consultant for American Honda Corporation. As far as paying. Just get what you want. You will find a way to pay for it. Opportunity to get up and work harder.

Re: How do you fund your build/mods?

Technically you fund my build/mods...as taxpayers. I've been in the Navy for almost 17 years now. Kinda like other people have done, I buy parts to store in the garage and then when I get the chance I go to work on the car. It typically coincides with my sea duty/shore duty cycles. By the time I get back from the deployments, I usually have a couple thousand dollars worth of parts piled up in the garage.

MY father left me the writer rights to the country song"Please Release Me", recorded by Englebert Humperdink. So I receive a royalty check every 6 months and I get a pension from Rockwell Collins every month and receive $1821 a month from SSDI.
Oh I work part time designing circuit boards.
