Irwindale Dragway- Is This True?
Toyota Speedway at Irwindale is a motorsports facility located in Irwindale, California, United States. It features banked, paved 1/2- and 1/3-mile oval tracks and a 1/8-mile drag strip. It opened on March 27, 1999, as Irwindale Speedway and held that name until Toyota purchased the naming rights to the facility in 2008.[1] From it's opening until 2011 it was mainly used for NASCAR races such as NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and Whelen All-American Series events. In late 2011, NASCAR announced it was dropping Toyota Speedway from it's schedule. It is rumored the racetrack was close to filing bankruptcy

Yea I ran. Worst night ever for me. I couldn't get any traction for the life of me. 2.3-2.4 60's. The last two times I was there I was getting 1.9 60' with the same set of tires.
I was also tweaking the tv cable. Every run was either too much or too little. The good news is i managed to move the bracket for it closer to the throttle body. This is why I can tweak the shift points now.

My mph ranged from 74-78. It was a very inconsistent night for me. I really hate my transmission. I have all this power and I can barely use any of it.

Just a little fun fact. My 1989 Camaro RS 5 spd was the last car to make a pass down that drag strip. My buddy John was the one driving it though.

Cool! Now if only they could stretch it out to a 1/4mi and race twice a week.

Re: Irwindale Dragway- Is This True?
Oh wow so me never viewing this post this was your best, what I thought I ran. In bad conditions with Et streets for me.. I do remember you mentioned you ran faster than that back when I mentioned my times. Very interesting as I know my mph not being 90 I guess the stroker needs more time per stroke to gain a higher mph so 1/4 mile would be possibly better for the stroker?

Re: Irwindale Dragway- Is This True?
What Irwindale needs is a weigh in station.. Given your number on the car and with weight. So when you complete your run your given your print out with your number and your weight. If the numbers were messed up like I experience with them, an getting slips that said was mine but were not my numbers than i think a weight system needs to be put into the system. They need to upgrade there system to that.
