Sold my car to move from NY to CA but need need need to meet members in the San Diego area who like cars. I want to go to cruises or car shows and I want to meet new people!

Welcome. I don't know much about what goes on in San Diego, the majority of people on here are around the LA area with the rest of us speckled between San Francisco and Tijuana. I'm sure you can find some other gearheads down in that area and I am sure plenty goes on down there.

One thing I have been to before is the Speed Fest on Coronado, its fun, but its not until September usually. Some of the cruises that are put together on here also run down that way. I'm sure others can chime in with other events.

Congrats on the move. We are lucky enough to be experiencing some fantastic weather compared to where you came from. This translates into more time enjoying our cars. There will be a gathering on March 1st at the Oceanside Starbucks for the Southern California 3rd Gen club (SC3G). I haven't met any of these folks myself, but there should be plenty of Camaros and Firebirds to gawk at. You can find the posting further down. I read the write-up and your Dad sounds like a great inspiration and teacher. And hats off to your Mom for having two gearheads in the family; that takes some patience. I'm most likely in the same age group as your Father, but I will be at that gathering March 1st with my blue Trans Am. Good luck with your new life here in San Diego!
