Our April 2014 Meet & Canyon Cruise will begin at:

Route 66 Classic Grill

Canyon Country, CA 91351
(661) 298-1494

To all OC, IE, and SD members, we will be staging in the Wal-Mart parking lot directly in front of the Sam’s Club gas station in the Long Beach Towne Center. Staging will begin at 11:45AM with a departure time of 12:15PM SHARP! We will not be waiting for anyone that is running late.

Our route to SCV from the Sam’s Club Gasoline Station in the Long Beach Towne Center will be 605N – 5N – 14N

Staging area address:

7250 Carson Boulevard
Long Beach, CA 90808

We have a target arrival time of 2PM at the Route 66 Classic Grill in Canyon Country where we will enjoy lunch together with 3rd gen owners local to the area, check out rides, and have a drivers meeting before departing for our Canyon Cruise.

The Canyon Cruise is filled with miles and miles of amazing scenery, switchbacks, and straights guaranteed to please driver and vehicle alike. This is not a competition and anyone found attempting to test the limitations of their vehicle or participate in a speed contest in close proximity to the participants of this event will be asked to turn around and/or will have their vehicle photographed and immediately emailed to the California Highway Patrol. We ask that all cruise participants please govern themselves accordingly.

If you wish to participate in the Canyon Cruise you (drivers & passengers) will be required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement in order to receive a route map and participate in the Canyon Cruise.

Those of you that will be attending please remember to bring your FRS radios as they will be your best form of communication during the cruise. If you would like to join the caravan along the route please have your FRS radios tuned to channel 3 so you can listen in as we will be announcing our location periodically in an effort to let people know where we are once the cruise is under way.

The Canyon Cruise will start at the Route 66 Classic Grill in Canyon Country and end in Castaic. Upon completion of the cruise attendees from the IE, OC, and SD have the option to regroup and caravan back together.

As always if you have any questions, comments, or to RSVP please feel free to contact me

Hey Grey Goose, what are those walkie talkies that you use during the cruises? Any particular brand?

Whew... Thanks for saving us both the embarrassment of having to negotiate the particulars of your blatant illiteracy. Because as far as the waivers are concerned, there is both reading and writing involved and given the amount of people attending in vehicles that actually run (you know, they go vroom vroom when the key is turned) ... There really wouldn't be enough time to break out the crayons, construction paper, and stickers to explain it all to you

We may both be *******s on an apocalyptic level but you will always have my respect because of your knowledge, willingness to help others with their vehicle set ups, wheel work, and ability to back up the **** you talk.

Sorry Tom, it's been a busy week but it looks like Lon has provided an excellent description on the particulars of the FRS radios we use during cruises

Re: SC3G April Meet/Greet & SCV Canyon Cruise Sunday April 6, 2014 @ 2PM

Just wanted to share an image from yesterdays Santa Clarita Valley Cruise that we dedicated to one of our members Jacob Cobb a Marine Corps KC-130 Flight Mechanic / Crew Chief currently serving in Afghanistan and all of our other servicemen that bravely and selflessly place themselves in harms way to protect our freedom. Our freedom to assemble with our modern American classics and roam freely through canyons, coastlines, and countless miles of black ribbon through the greatest country in the world!

Tommy Marquez turned up with The Standard in hand and we found the perfect spot high up overlooking Bouquet Reservoir for this image. On the count of 3, we all shouted "Ooh-rah!!!" with our fists in the air when this image was taken... We thank all of our servicemen and women and look forward to your safe return.

Another great turnout yesterday guys!

Looks like a Great Time... sorry I missed it. Cool you organize them Grey Goose.

I used to do meets like this with guys on the Pelican parts forum.... Porsches mostly.
And without the rules it got too crazy and dangerous .... so rules and waviers were adopted so it was a cruise and not a race.

I have pic's of a couple of the wrecks.... one where the driver had to be air lifted.... his 911 was totaled.

So the rules are needed, IMO

Is there going to be another Redondo Beach meet and cruise along the Palos Verdes peninsula this year?

I've had my current car since 2003 little man... So I'll do you a solid and help you with the math. 2014 minus 2003 equals 11. So 11 years has passed in addition a couple more since you and I have had any interaction in person. LOL, I don't think anyone has ever accused me of being a 'goodie goodie', quite the opposite in fact. It's called TACT (I'll give you a moment to sound it out and to hunt and peck it out on your big boy keyboard). There is a time and place for everything as well as consequences for questionable decisions and/or actions.

Just like every time you make a senseless incoherent post on one of my threads that has absolutely nothing to do with you. You are guaranteed to be humiliated by me. However, there is an upside! It is pathetically clear that you don't associate with anyone with anything even close to a decent vocabulary... So whilst you are in the midst of having to scramble to use whichever online dictionary/thesaurus has the largest fonts and prettiest colors to decipher my posts. You are actually expanding your intellect all though only for a a few precious seconds but becoming enlightened nonetheless. Now run along, I'm sure there are windows that need to be licked and sugar packets that are in desperate need of being organized

Mike I wouldn't speak of anything in regards to Chp until the day of the Event with all knowing there is a waiver to sign. It's alright it's understandable that you conclude everything before the event partakes. Mike I don't sit around an create a story to write here on Tgo unlike yourself with your highly qualified skills.
If I was embarrassed Id let you know. I know the type of ppl you all are.

So what's with the counting the years..We all have owned them nearly the same amount of years. There's nothing more that you have learned than myself. You being I bit older may know a bit more but what would that difference be. I could just make a call an get that info any day of the week.
Are you still using a keyboard.. You have as always the same language an same ol talk as always.

Mike if I want to make a comment then I'll make one.. I own my ability to write here. I just had a laugh with your waivers an possible calls to Chp.

Mike the last time I made a quote on your post.. You went off being an idiot for getting that your trying to present a Event. And I'd bet Lon erased it an started the thread over again.
What happend there Mike. A bit out of the Element..

Mike the last time you seen me was buying parts an seats.. Remember that person.. Dude I'm the same person.. And in person you have never talked no $ as you are trying now. I think you all focus on me so much is as I feel it an known from the passed being a threat. I'm here to sell parts and planning of my ls3 swap.. And I may comment on threads. I'm not here showing off my car or bragging what I'll have

Wow man, you’re a real student of the game aren't you!? As much as I’d like to take my time and course my way thought this steaming pile of words, I just can’t bring myself to do it man. Your senselessness is incomprehensible… Heartbreaking actually...

You have never been a threat to anyone buddy, only a statistic. A living breathing example of how our public school system has failed and continues to fail when it comes to providing the bare necessities of human communication/interaction.

Go ahead and have the last word man because I refuse to feed your masochistic approach to life anymore. Its like playing chess with a pigeon...

ROTFLMFAO! Its called residual income moron! Some of us have actually busted our asses putting in 14 hour days 7 days a week, saved money, and I-N-V-E-S-T-E-D it!!!

Instead of trying to play mechanic, faking a back injury, and ride the system that myself and legions of hard working people bust their asses to provide for you.

That is until we receive a windfall in the form of a life insurance policy from a family member that's passed. Now you're rich right!? You are ignorant beyond definition, classless beyond classification, and the sad part of it all is that no amount of money will ever be able to change any of it!

Move along son... You're pathetic...

Wtf. I bet you ten grand your wrong about the back injury. You got ten grand Mike? Are you a Doctor Mike. Your talking about insurance policy? Where in the world did you come up with that? 14 hours must be hard for you.. I don't have a problem working what I do 14 hours. In any matter of health you should be concerned for your own health.. It's only a visual guess with that. Ten grand would be nice Mike..
