AndyZ28 1LE CD ROM
I have received a copy of AndyZ28’s 1LE + CD and figured I’d post a quick review of it here. First, the pictures are top quality, very clear and colorful. If there’s any questions in your mind how the 1LE brake system goes together or what part #’s are needed, the CD will answer all the questions. Now that the complete kit is available from Spohn for a fair price, I figure more and more people may do the upgrade. I did, and I can tell you it was worth it. The CD also contains many other articles such as: Rear disc brake conversion, 1LE spare tire problem, axle removal and installation, and common mistakes to avoid. Overall I think it’s a very good and informative CD that will answer many questions that the common back yard Third-genner may have.

1LE + CD
Got my CD last week and it was well worth the wait. Excellent material, pictures, part numbers and how-to. Will be referenced many times. Installing the big brakes on these cars turns the fun factor way up! When the braking system matches the handling you have an awesome ride! This disc shows you how!
Buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

Same report here. Excellent documentation and information. That 10 bolt rear drum swap looks sooo easy, I'm debating on whether I'll rebuild this 9 bolt I have out back or find a drum 3.23 or 3.42 and just swap the brakes over.
kudos Andy!!

Woo-Hoo!
I also bought the CD and love it. It's full of step-by-step how-to information that makes a number of third-gen modifications easy (it's always easy when someone else does it first!).
If you're interested in doing your own 1LE brake conversion, you'll need this CD.

Kinda off the subject, but after owning a 1992 Z28 with the 10.5 " rotors and now the B4C/1LE with the 12" dual piston the difference is night and day, you can get Spohns kit for $850 and use the CD to modify the spindles. I know many people who have searched high and low for Boneyard 1LE's just to find them with the brakes removed and little else. Well worth the money. Thanks.

Tom,
Can you bring over the CD next weekend? I found some PBR two piston calipers at the Vette fest today. I didn't buy them, but want to know if they will work if buy all the other parts I need.
Thanks!

Formul8, they will fit but the e-brake won't work on those calipers. I have a set of the 'Vette calipers and I'll probably get rid of them.

ebmiller,
The ones I found are for the front. I will probably leave the rears alone. My car is an '89 with the improved rear disc.
