Are these rotors trash? (pics)

Guys, are these rotors even worth trying to resurface. They were warped, there was pedal pulsation. I had just gotten down to the wear indicators on the pads. I've never seen rotors in this bad of shape. These are the factory original rotors with around 32000 miles on them in two years. I'm concerned because theyre really rusty on the edges and some of the metal has started to flake off of what i think is the braking surface. Also the wear on the surface is rough inparts.

New ones are at least $90 each. I'll take them to get resurfaced tomorrow unless its pretty hopeless. I dont wanna shell out $180 on new ones but at the same time this is for my daily driver so I want the brakes to work well and last for a while.

Thanks

edit: replace them. i wouldn't use them. they are a little too far gone. when they get done cutting, they will be too thin and will warp easily. more than likely. they are not safe/reliable at all.

Well, they may be able to be resurfaced and used again, but the thing about turning out grooves in a rotor (or severe warping) is that you lower the mass of the rotor itself to the point that it will not dissipate heat as well as it should/could. So the short answer is to find some new ones if you want to have some reliable brakes that will last and perform properly.... If you are in a pinch, you can probably have those turned and reuse them.... Any machine shop or parts store that turns rotors will measure the minimum thickness for you and tell you if there is enough material left to turn them and have them remain safe for use.

Also, what are those off of? They have reluctor rings for ABS sensors...... Me thinks they are from a 2WD S10/Blazer with four wheel ABS........ I'm not sure, but I don't think any thirdgens had ABS on them (especially on the front).....

gees where did you go to get price quotes? I did everything in the brakes but drums and hoses for a 150. pads, shims, cleaner, rotors, bearing grease, and seals. Everywhere i went they were around that price.

yeah those rotors looks pretty bad, i would replace them so you can get the most life out of them before you have to do the brakes again.. and since its your daily driver i most definitely would buy new rotors then.

good luck

Matt, good call, they're from my 2000 s-10. I have no idea why they got so bad, I pulled the brakes apart like two days after the wear indicators started making noise, and the truck only has 32000 miles on it, these were the factory brakes.

I'm guessing i just got some from a bad batch of metal or something. I'm going to do some more shopping around for new rotors to see if i can find a better price. That $90 was at autozone, for the better of the two that they carry.
