Ok 82-83 vs. 84-92 Front Brakes

Engine: LT1

Ok 82-83 vs. 84-92 Front Brakes
What the differences between these years? Is it something silly like hose fittings, or something biger, like spindles?
Everywhere I go, there's just no options for 82-83. The car is far from stock, so swapping lines is already in order, and spindles if I have to. I would love to have at least an 11" front brake system.

Yup, SAE fittings 82-83, metric 84 up, throughout the system.
Otherwise they're the same.
Swap some metric lines onto it, and a metric master cyl and prop valve, you're good to go.

Uh o.. What about where the brake line bolts to the brake caliper? Is that different?? I just swapped A arms (with balljoints and brakes etc attached) from a 92 camaro into my 83 camaro, And I just unbolted the line from the calipers... Havent driven the car yet...

Russell I know makes a brake line kit for 82-83 (#9204). You can also make your own with the braided hose & fittings, but will probably cost more.
From what I've read on Russell kits, your better off making your own with Earls or Aeroquip. That's of course if Earls or Aero makes bulk brake hose & fittings.
For me upgrading the whole front (@ least for now) brake system, replacing the prop, master, & lines are all ready part of the deal. I just know now that I need to use 84+ parts. I'll just need to savvvvveeee some money.
I just bought some Aero 51 series 15x10 wheels, and I'm going to see if some Bear 12" or 13" will fit with these templates I downloaded. Oppps went off on a tangent - sorry..
Yea 'Firebird 383' I've been following Marks career for a better part of ten years. I just wish Roush would switch to Chevy's
Did you see all the Roush Ford motors bight the dust at Atlanta, & Mark's blow at Vegas. WTF!!!
Oh well, I hope he can pull off a winning streak soon, or we'll have to wait another year for him to get that damn cup championship.
