9 bolt questions

ok i have a borg warner 9bolt in my 83 z28 (its not the original rear) waht size is the ring and pinion in it is there anyone that i can get a gear set from that is not gonna rob me $400-900 is not worth the hassle for a gear set since i can get a complete 4th gen rear for $250

9-bolt parts are more expensive. That's all there is to it. They're stronger than a 10-bolt, and you pay for that strength.

well ill be junking this rear then unless someone has a 4th gen rear that they wanna trade for it

Did you blow it up or do you just want a different ratio? Cuz if you have enough power to blow a 9-bolt then a 10-bolt isn't gonna last long, and if you're looking for a different gearing you can prolly sell your 9-bolt and make enough to pay for a 4th gen 10-bolt.

ill take the busted 9 bolt

i live 10 min from philly in jersey, if you seriously get a 10 bolt and don't want the 9 bolt....i'll take it off your hands...im sure we can work something out.....whats wrong with ti?

nothing really im just not interested in spending a small fortune for gears its a 3.42 or at least by my count thats what it came out too i want 3:73's or 4:11's if i get a 10 bolt ill keep you in mind
