Stock 3rd Gen wheel offsets
I have done a search and haven't come up with the answers I was looking for. Anyways here is what I am up to LOL. I am installing a LS1 with a T56 into a 00 S10 pickup. I have put 2wd blazer spindles on the front to get the larger rotor and 2 piston caliper that the 98+ blazers have to help them stop faster. Just swap out the spindles and get the associated hardware and I was off and running. Anyways, these spindles changed my offset up front alittle bit. The truck used to have the ZQ8 or the 92 Z28/RS rims from the factory which I used to autox on and but with 245/50 16 tires I would hit my fender lip on harsh bumps ect ect. The most the offset moved was about 1/2" at the most, I was thinking of using a set of the RS/Z28 rear rims on the front provided the offset will do what I need it to do which is tuck the tire about 1/2" more inside the fenderwell. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated. I currently have 17x8 rims on there with a custom offset and even they are close sometimes anymore. I don't really want to get another set of custom rims because the ZQ8 rims I was using for SCCA competition and such and the 245 50 16 autox tires where better in cost than the larger tires. Thanks a bunch for your help guys

Well, It depends what you had on there before...
82-92 camaro/firebird factory 16" wheels had diferent offsets.
the rears were tucked inward about 16mm from the fronts
so if you have 2 fronts and 2 rears...
than you could get two more rears and put them on the front, and that will give you the "tucked in effect".
or who knows mabee evin switch front to rear might look O.K.
S-10's always have that rear wheel tucked in to far look factory.
But!!! if you had all rear rims on there before than your screwed you have to get different offset rims...
or some 225 50/55's on the front with the existing wheels.
but if youve got common sense you can do what youve got to do with the information of factory front and rear rims have different offsets rears being moreso "tucked in" the wheels are clearly labeled.
have fun!!!

16mm further tucked in eh, that is the info I needed. The is about 1/2 which is about what I need. Guess I will need to get a set of rears with 245 50's on them and see if they work or not. Thanks a bunch.
