Tokico Illumina Vs. Bilstein HD
What package is better for street/strip applications?
Also are they made in the USA or somewhere else?

what would it matter.......
you have to match up the setup. i love the bilstein hd eibach combo but i've heard some are happy with their tokico....i've only used them on import applications which were alright so i can't really judge them on a 3rdgen.

The Bilstiens are a far better damper overall but I'm not sure if the valving would be too much for serious strip action. That's where the lighter compression vavling of the Illuminas MIGHT be better suited.

I'm pretty happy with my Tokico and Hotchkis combination. The rear springs are a little softer than I would like. I like having the adjustability for racing, but outside of the worn out stuff they replaced I have nothing to compare them to.

I'll soon be installing a set of Illuminas on my 91 Z. I'll let you guys know what I think. The Tokiko HP's are the equivalent of the Illuminas on setting 3. I've never run Bilstein so I wont have a good comparison sorry.

my audi has bilstein HD's with GC coilover sleeves,
i have tokico's on the camaro, they are two diffrent beasts, i really like the adjustability of the tokico's, it is part of what makes my car so versital, i can set them to get good traction at the strip, or set them for auto-x/OT and durring auto-x i usualy adjust them between runs depending on how the car is handling on that track, that day.
BUT, my impression from the two, is that the bilstiens are a better peice. IF they were adjustable they would be the perfrect damper. it makes me want to drop the 2k for a set of double adjustable bilsteins.
