Car: 1992 Z28 and 1995 Silverado
Engine: 5.7 TPI and 5.7 TBI to TPI convert
Transmission: 700R4 and 4l60E
Axle/Gears: G80 3.23 and open 3.42
Very annoying squeaking

Its on the rear passenger side.
When I first bought the car, it was moaning LOUDLY when brake pressure applied at low speeds. Moaning as in shaking the entire car (hummm....hummm....hummm...)

I replaced the brake pads and rotors a few months ago. The moaning went away completely and it was great.

Now about a month ago, I have had some major squeaking apear. With or without appying the brakes it sqeakes and at any speeds (but usually 10mph+).

Squeak...Squeak...Squeak...

But when I give it a little brake pressue, the pitch of the sound changes (becomes much louder), unless of course I slam on the brakes and the sound goes away completely.

Not sure why that outer pad is wearing that way.

Any ideas? I have to drive this car about 300 miles and leave store it for a few months until I get resituation (new house) while I drive my truck instead.

If one pad is wearing faster than the other one your caliper is prob hanging up... clean the sliders with a wire wheel and lube them with anti-seeze lube (silver stuff). I don't know if that is causing the moaning but there is a strong possibility.
