Stronger Than SFC.

Hey,
I have a 84 camaro and i am pretty sure no SFC will fit under my car because my Exhuasht is modified to the point were there is barely any room before touching the floorpan. i didn't know about theres SFC intell after i had the exhuast on. the y-pipe is hacked together, although it serves it's purpose and works 100% fine. i really want SFC, but i cant.. is there anything i can get to do the same thing?? i had already bought and installed a 4-point roll bar, and that did WONDERS. to the ride. it fells like a brick and i could only image if i had SFC. My Question to you is want can i do about this? i dont want to get a new Y-pipe because the whole exhaust is custom.does anyone have this kind of problem?i would love pics of different ways to strengthin the body

Thanks alot.
Sry for the Long Read.

A roll bar doesn't tie the front and rear subframes together. Although it helps, you still need SFC. Go to your local chassis shop and ask about having a custom set fabricated and installed. When I first bought my car it had a single 3" custom exhaust. I had SFC fabricated and they modified them to go around the exhaust. The exhaust pipe is long gone but I still have the SFC with the jog in them where they went around the exhaust pipe.

They were custom made by a local chassis shop 5 years ago. I think they were a couple of hundred dollars installed. I'm not sure if any of the pics on my web site show the SFC. If they do, they're not of the SFC in particular.

SFC don't have to be in an exact spot. Some tie the front and rear together along the driveshaft tunnel. Other run along the rocker panels. My driver side SFC runs directly under the seat. I welded braces on each side of the SFC to bolt my race seat mounts to.
