How much different is handling in decked T-top vs. Hardtop?

I have a t-top and wanting to either take the drag or handling route. I was curious to see what you guys thought the T-top works best in. I'd like to do 1/4mile but then again a part of me is wanting to go toward autocross

T-Top cars are much more flexible and hence not as good at taking corners, but that should not stop you from doing autocross.

The best way to stiffen a T-Top car and still be 'legal' for stock class autocross in to add a 6 point roll bar. It will have the same effect as adding sub frame connectors but won't push you up in class because it is a "safety item". After you add the roll bar, your chassis will be much stiffer than a hardtop without one.

Check out www.frrax.com, it is a site dedicated to autocross and roadracing f-bodies.

As my car got close to an 11 second pass I added a 6 point roll bar. I now have a 12 point cage since I'm just about in the 9's. I've never had a problem with the t-tops.
