Formula wheels.
What are the dimensions on 3rd gen formula wheel. I have the standard 15 inch firebird wheels, but was thinking about going with the formula wheels. Im pretty sure they are wider, because I seem to remember seeing a formula with a 255 tire. But are they 15s or 16s. And are they wider than my factory 15 inchers. I might be building a sleeper, and want as much tire on the ground as possible. How wide of a tire can go on the formula wheels, safely. Thanks, in advance.

The Formula rims are 16x8s. They have different offsets for the fronts and rears, so you will want to try and find a complete set. You'd have to check with the tire manufacturer, but most recommend you don't go over a 255 on an 8" wide rim.

The factory tires are 245/50R16's The 255's work fine but I did not like how they stuck out slightly wider. Although it was subtle.
