NASTY wheel hop
So earlier I attempted to do the first burnout in the ******. (just got it)
The tires started melting literally as soon as I hit the gas, but about 5 seconds into it, it started wheel hopping like crazy.
I have seriously never felt/seen anything like it. Crawled under the car and saw nothing that popped out at me. All bushings/torque arm/lca's etc looked fine.
Any ideas, I might throw some slapper bars on it, but it shouldn't be wheel hopping like this to begin with.

On other burnouts it never did that?
Have a low or flat tire recently?
Edit: I just reread your post, You probably need lower control arm relocation brackets, If it's really bad it's possible that the old owner had a low of flat tire and used that flat repair in a can stuff.
It settles in one spot and causes a hellofa shake when u get the tires spinning

I just bought the car yesterday, its was the first time I ever tried to light em up.
It has no problem power wise, just don't understand the gnarly hop.

I honestly don't think its the wheels.
I do have a set of stock rims w/ brand new tires, I might throw those on and see if it helps at all.

It's your lower control arms. F-body's are bad about wheel hop with those weak factory LCA's. A set of Spohn boxed LCA's fixed the wheel hop in our firebird. It would shake the whole car when we tried to blaze the tires, put new bushings on the factory ones and still did it. Changed to some aftermarket LCA's and cured it completely.

didnt change the angle of the LCA's, just put some some that more more rigid.
Spohn Performance, Inc. still running the stock torque arm.

I think you'd have a tough time putting slapper bars on this car...
The general things to do to fix wheel hop are
rear shocks/springs
LCA bushings & LCA's.
If the car is lowered, you may need the relocation brackets.
With the car parked on dead level ground, check the angle of the LCA's front to back, higher in the front, or higher in the rear?
Higher in the REAR can cause that.
