Thread size for tranny torque mount hole?
What size are the threads in the ext housing on a T-5 tranny where the torque arm mounting bolt goes? I lost the top bolt while going down the road the other day. It is the one that actully threads into the housing and does not pass through. I think someone at one time tried to replace the bolt for one of the wrong threads and stripped it allowing it to slowly work it's way out. Now I need to try to repair the threads that were once there. The problem is, since I don't have the original correct bolt, I need to be sure exactly what thread and pitch was originally there before going getting a thread repair kit or something.
Anybody know?

It's 10mm, std (coarse) thread whatever that pitch is, I forget the #. The normal metric thread in any case. You can get bolts like that hanging in the aisle at AZ. Get the same size Heli-Coil as well, and that should do it.

Does 10 x 1.5 sound right?
I'll have to measure the depth of the hole to figure bolt length I guess.

Yes that sounds about right. Passes the "smell test", at least.
Should be about a 40mm length, with a washer head.
