Where to get wheel adapters?

I finally got around to ordering my ZR1's and need to get some adapters. However, now that Skulte isn't making them anymore I need to find another source. Does anyone have an alternative to SPD? Where did you get your adapters?

Thanks,

or usa custom made at : http://www.motorsport-tech.com/

Post some pics when you get them on the car!

Re: Where to get wheel adapters?

i bought my wheel adapters off ebay... $70 a set. i work at a CNC/EDM machine shop and we hate everything china. we fix tools and fixtures/mold bases made in china, poor poor craftsmanship. so when my adpaters arrived and there was a nice made in china logo on the box i just about puked. opened the box and we checked them with calipers the hole patterns were true spacers were round for the most part the maching looked good. put them on, no vibrations, no problems, but if i did have the money i would have bought the Skulte adapters, but they were almost as much as the wheels, my boss thats been in the buisness for about 30 years said that Skulte had to be making a killing selling thoose for that price

Re: Where to get wheel adapters?

Thanks guys,

Yea, I'm really reluctant to buy the spacers from ebay/china. The motorsports-tech site seems really good. You're going to pay extra to have it made in the USA, but thats fine with me. I like that they would do custom width. I have a feeling mine are going to be unique. I'll see when I measure for them this weekend.

I'll post some pics when I get them on.

Re: Where to get wheel adapters?

I don't think Skulte is going out of business. From what I understand, and please don't quote me, I think he has a new job lined up. He has decided to not make wheel adapters anymore, but continue with his other products. Hopefully he could clear that up.

I decided to go with motorsport-tech. I ordered a set of 1.5" adapters that are both hub and wheel centric. I'll get some pictures and do a write up when I get everything in.

Re: Where to get wheel adapters?

I was looking into that since ZR1's are hub centric, I just didnt know the size of the ZR1's hub, and I didnt feel like breaking out the digi caliper and measure it...

Re: Where to get wheel adapters?

http://www.skulte.com/about_us.php

Hi guys - Here's what I posted back in May:
Part II (May 5, 2009)
In November 2008, I was given the opportunity to manage an aerospace manufacturing company's quality department. I returned to work full-time, and continued to run SPD in the evenings. With two hours of time available in the evenings, I haven't been able to respond to all emails and voicemails. My customers (you guys!) have been great over the years, and I truly enjoy helping everyone. I apologize for not having the time lately that great customer service deserves.

I've decided to scale back Skulte Performance Designs by phasing out wheel adapters and wheel spacers, but will still be fabricating T56 swap crossmembers (and hope to have a chance to finally enjoy racing the Camaro this summer!). I've also removed our phone number from the website because I just haven't had a chance to return all voicemails, and find it's much quicker and more flexible to return emails.

Thanks for the great years!
I hope this clears things up!

Andris
