sway bars & wonder bar

hey guys

I have the sway bar sizes 34/23 on my 88 iroc.
Question is on these is that are they good enough? Can I upgrade to a larger size from other cars IE firebirds and trans ams? How much of a diff would this make upgrading to a larger size?

The other question is I do belive I have a wonder bar and I think its a stock one on my car. Is that possible?
Also would a after market wonder bar make much of a difference?

I plan on redoing the suspension on my car this winter. Basically what I am after is go all around performance in curves and such. I am not really into quarter mile stuff although I may try it. I am more into ripping around in the twisties in the rocky mountains by my house

thanks in advance

j

Re: sway bars & wonder bar

the largest bars are 36mm front and 24mm rear. They will help out.

The wonder bar could be original, or added. The aftermarket bars are beefier, but the stock ones work fine. If yours is in good shape, leave it alone. Or take it off and paint it to make it look new again

Re: sway bars & wonder bar

alright cool thats good to know. I maybe be able to find some used ones and just get em powder coated with the stock wonder bar at the same time.

here's the next one. I want to keep the stock ride height on my car but I want stiffer springs.

I heard a few choices springs off a convertible iroc and cargo coils.

btw I have an engine on the stand ready to dump in the car so bear in mind the hp won't be stock

thnx

Re: sway bars & wonder bar

for your info the biggest front bar is the 36, but the stiffest is the 34mm solid, i'm running 36/23mm right now, at its a big improvement over the 36/24mm
