Spohn Torque arm mounting questions
Hi
I currently have a adjust Torque arm from Spohn on my car. I'm in the middle of swapping in a 4L80 tranny in the car and I need to make a new crossmember with a new torque arm mounting.
I can do a similar setup as the spohn but then I need to modify my Y-pipe. And I wonder how it would be if I the torque arm is bolted in the crossmember, with NO ability to move (forward/backwords) like the spohn crossmember allows it to.
Maybe just weld two "ears" on the crossmember and bolt it through them? In that case the holes could be made slotted and then allow it to move forward/backword some?....
Good/bad?
/N.

Re: Spohn Torque arm mounting questions
the arm has to move forward and back. a rigid mount will bend/break

Re: Spohn Torque arm mounting questions
Yeah, I thought of that, so a couple of ears with slotted hole should work then....
