adjustable LCAs needed?
I'm wondering if adjustable rear lower control arms are necessary. I don't plan at the moment to lower my car. It will be mostly be daily driven and once or twice a month.

Are the needed? No, non adjustable will work for most people, however certain adjustable pieces have a better selection of bushing/bearing type ends that are worth the added cost even if you never plan to adjust them.

I'm looking at the non sealed ends, and wondering if they will take damage from being open to the elements. I guess that's my main concern more than anything. And I was thinking the threaded rod would be a little weaker than the solid tube.

they unsealed bearing will take a beating from weather, you can get rubber seals that you can use to help them live longer. The threaded portion of the rod end its probably stronger or as strong as the tube itself. they typically do not break if thats what you are asking, generally the will fail is they articulate further than they are designed for and side load the housing.
I have some rods ends on both my cars, and i just give them a shot with penetrating lube every now and again and they are holding up just fine.

Re: adjustable LCAs needed?
those are exactly the ends I'm talking about. I appreciate all the input.
Founders offers these, but they aren't adjustable.

do you know where I could find seals for the rod ends? or would they be something I would be making/ being clever.

and that seals the deal. I'm going with the single adjust and some seals to add on for preventative purposes. Thank you for the help and advice

As 86 mentioned, many of us use rod ends and keeping them clean and lubricated really helps their life.
Seals-It makes a number of good solutions for keeping junk out of rod ends as mentioned as well.
