05 and up mustang style rear upper control arm
I know there is not much room under there im doing a 8.5 swap and just looking at other options. Im going to have to weld to the housing if I go with a torque arm or not. What are the pros and cons of this set up?

Its a standard 3 link setup. Not a bad design, but next to impossible to put in a mostly stock 3rd gen chassis. 1) There is not room, 2) there is no frame to anchor the top mount, only floorboard sheetmetal
To build a TA mount, you dont necessarily have to weld on the cast housing, I didnt. I build a wing off the drivers axle tube to support the mount, then built a loop around the differential to bolt on in many places
Alternatively, you can build a TA like the MM design that goes underneath the differential and avoid building a mount completely
