I went to Advance Auto Parts to see what kits they had and this is the one that came up in stock. I have searched and found a little info, has anyone used this kit? The clerk at Advance told me I had to go get the part number off of my TBI unit before they would sell it to me. The number on the TBI unit was 17091038. I was looking and I don't see that number on the supported kits for the GP Sorensen. I did see it under a BorgWarner kit...my question is, will the GP Sorensen kit work on my '92's TBI?

Any rebuild kit should work. They should come with the same gaskets. They should be able to tell you which one to buy based on the year of your car. I would go to advanced and se what they say. I am not sure what else comes in the rebuild kit that could be different other than the FP spring.

I agree. That GP-Sorensen kit should work on your car. FYI, I used that kit when I rebuilt my TBI unit about a month ago. It came with every gasket you will need, fuel pressure regulator diapragm (spelling?), o-rings, seals, some thread lock, and great instructions. It did not come with a fuel pressure spring, though (I don't know if that is good or bad). It is a practically a total rebuild kit and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm interested in doing that too, how much is the kit? I'm almost afraid to though, right now my car is running great and even with the hot AZ temps I broke back into the 15's last time at the track... how much room for error is there?

Thanks guys, I bought the GP kit tonight at Advance after they looked it up a few times just to make sure it was the right kit. It was $40 and has everything.

I think I paid $36 for mine, but I don't really remember. It was less than $40 though. Trust me, get that kit. It won't add horsepower, but its like rebuilding your engine, a lot of those gaskets and parts get old and needed to be revitalized. I'm am very glad I did it and learned a lot from it. It also gives you an excuse to do the ultimate TBI mods, too!!

I have bought the same kit twice and it has worked both times. It is the right kit.
