that should really let the LO3 breather. I will also be putting a 670 Holley unit on, (does it amaze anyone else that i am still running the stocker )
Can't wait to hear the results.

And I'm not surprised about the stock tb unit since that's what I'm still running. (But my tune is definately not optimised so I don't really know where it might be holding things back at.)

From a person such as you pablo, I would have expected more....

thirdgens are worthless and will probably always be

there is nothing special about them, nothing all that ground breaking about their design or performance. Nothing like a 69 camaro Z28 which was the first of its kind

I only see thirdgens getting cheaper and cheaper and leveling off at around the price they would be worth as scrap.

The people who would pay money for a well kept car years down the road are the ones that are young and lust for them right now. Tell me how many kids you know that think thirdgens are cool or fast.

Most everyone on earth thinks these cars are a POS. Ask a few people without revealing that you own one.

Irony, pure irony. Ask some of the senior members of these forums..... 20 years ago a 1969 Camaro could be had for under 1000 with a decent body. Hmm, funny how a few years really changes things. My father alone had 3 Camaros.... 67 base model, 68 RS, and a 69 base model. I dont' remember him having the 67, but the 68 and 69 each were sold in the 90's. He didn't pay more than $1000 for either of them, and both of thier original bodies were in very good condition. By that I mean, no serious scratches, no dents, and Paint that hasn't faded. Trying to pick any of these cars up now in that condition would start at 15000 and probably go higher.

I'm not making a slam, and I'm not saying that these cars are worth anything right now....but perhaps in 20 years we too will see a return to our investments. Even if not, I know I sure have had fun with my "worthless" 92!

a turdgen is nothing like a first gen camaro, first gens are associated with the image of quintessential muscle car and were the first of their kind, they had the ***** to back it up and were an instant hit. Everyone knew Camaros were the hot car to have if you wanted something fast.

Its like a movie with sequels, everyone knows the best one is always the first one, by the time you get to number 3 the whole concept is long in the tooth as it is, and the fact that part three in this case was really crappy for the most part, slow, outrageously cluttered engine bays, poor GM interior quality etc and so on. No one I knew associated thirdgens with being fast and though Im not an old fart, I have been around the street racing scene since about 1992 and I can remember those early days with hundreds of muscle cars clogging some rural road (before ricers hit) and guess what, id say 90% of the people racing were 5.0 liter mustangs, I hardly ever saw thirdgens, and when I did they were laughed off the starting line.

Even then I liked how they looked but everyone there always insisted I not get one because they were total pigs and guess what for 90% of all V8 thirdgens they were right.

A car that was so unwelcome in its "heyday" is never going to be some wild collectors item. It might gain some value in a few years but it will never be an LX 5.0

and I love thirdgens and I'm pretty sure I've poured more blood sweat, and money into mine than you have with yours. Im just a realist.
