I'll update with more pics when I get home. This is the only one I had tossed into the /var/www folder. So check the posting again later for more pics.

I think a few passes with the 100 shot are going to do you in. Oh, well...then you can start on that 327 You can start even faster if you spray with that miss still present

Miss will be figured out before i spary it.
I have jets for up to 150 plate is good to 250.
I'm hopeing to go 12's with the juice on. I was chasing down a Eclips that ran 14.3, would have beat him, if it wasn't for the miss. So with 125 extra, 12's are very doable, or so I think.
Everyone... Please keep my tranny in your prayers.

most stock short blocks IE cast pistons rods bolts will have problems with juice above 400+ hp after a while. Have you up graded the ignition? IF not you might not burn all the mix. I don't think you will be able to go from 14's to 12 with out losing the motor, but it would be fun to try.

I've got a 327 in the garage, that is going to be my twin turbo project. So if I blow this up, I'll get a cheapo 305 for $100, and then start working hard on the 327

it will likely be some form of MPFI. It is a long ways off. I have a block and crank, both of which need machine work, thats it, gotta build up EVERYTHING.

How do you have your system set up? DOes it come on with wot or just on? just on with a switch and a 5-speed would be bad bad bad. a wot switch you could get it moving in gear first and hopefully save the trans and rear from heavy shocks

Its going to be activated by a microswitch attached to the throttle linkage. So only WOT will activate, when it is armed. Jacobs MM will be on before next race season.
flrtin1-- I wouldn't mind finding a SJ 283 crank. Just to keep my car a 5.0L

I do belive I have a SJ 283 crank or a few of them laying around. what About fuel pressure on the plate? I would put in a regulator for a carb in the nos system to keep from adding to much fuel.

Ya......... thats sorta what I was thinkin also. The forged pistons that I have in the 305 now were discontinued from TRW a long time ago so next time I need a piston (or worse ) it will be time to decide which way I am going to go.

I'm sticking the SJ crank since its forged. Billet mains. Eagle ESP SJ Rods, TRW 327 forged blower pisons, and ARP hardware. It should hold some power.

Sounds great Dewey! It's been a while since there has been a new car breaking into some really fast times, I think that's your job now. I can see it definitely making it to the 12's.
I'm prayin for that 5-speed to hold up haha. What are you planning to do transmission-wise with the 327 setup?

Ok... here are a few more pics...
Had to go to studs on the intake, with the nitrous plate + adaptor, it was just too thick.
This is a good shot of how the spray bar sits.
Got Plenum?

Best I will be able to do for times, is G-tech and Dyno. This weekend is the last weekend of racing here in Portland, and 2 fittings are back-ordered from summit. So she sits until Dyno runs in January.

Bottle mounted.
And an interesting shot of me testing the FP with a hacked up stock fuel line. Since I still don't have all the fittings for the braided lines, in which I put an integrated FP port.

Dewey, you and I think alike... why bother with a TBI nitrous plate if you're using a carb intake....
And the way you did your fuel pressure gauge mounting, just like me .
Good luck hitting that 305 with nitrous. Camaroracer1992 (Joe) was running 125 shot from the green light! So if you're only having it come on with WOT, hopefully your engine will have some oil pressure... if not, 305 will develop rod knock. Good luck with it though and a 327, yup, that's also my favorite GM motor .

Jon,
I've never had a oil pressure issue. holds 40psi at idle. Hopefully it will hold. Truth be told, I hadn't put much thought into blowing the motor, I've also figured the T5 will die first. And especialy with the availability of used carb nitrous kits, I picked mine up for $100, then just bought some extra peices, I am still money ahead, after buying TONS of braided lines and fittings, along with a brand new plate and jets.
As soon as summit ships the last of the -AN fittings out, I'll get the feed side of the lines finished up, on the new feed line, there is a 1/8 NPT port that is now located near the firewall, so fuel pressure tests will be much easier to perform.

I ordered it in late 84 got it in mid 85 put a blower on it in 86 so most of these parts have been long since discontinued lol
305 w/TRW 7.5:1 forged (true dish) pistons
2.02/1.60 ported/pinned heads (76cc)
B&M cam and lifters (lost the cam card so I don't know the exact specs but it was the cam for over 7lbs boost)
1.5 rollers
Pete Jackson gear drive
Black Jack ak5000 headers (2" true dual exhaust)
Custom Carter Competition Series 500 CFM carburetors
B&M 420 cubic inch Megacharger (9lbs. boost)
(had a B&M 144 on it from 86 to 90 15lbs boost)
Mallory Unilite distributor / MSD 6AL ignition box
MSD Adjustable Spark Timing Control
MSD Soft Touch rev limiter / MSD SS coil
car has 66k+ miles on it 55k+ have been supercharged
I get over 22mpg highway in town it varies with how I am driving
As far as times the last time I had it to the track was in 88 and that was with a different blower/heads/ignition system.
I do have a good idea what it runs, but don't have the numbers to back it up so I wont post anything, lets just say it does alright

Hey John, how many miles do you have on that engine? I am toying with the idea of spraying my L69, but at 170000+ miles I don't think shes gonna hold up.

I might very well blow it up very quickly. I think the poor T5 will die first though.

My 700R4 was rebuilt recently, so I'm more concerned with the engine. That is still a ways down the road though. For now you can be CC's fastest 305!

Have you shot nitrous yet? If so how does it feel?

Its a super-powershot plate, with the holley adaptor. I had to remove the spacer ring, and trim the air-cleaner stud to get it to fit under the hood.
Car wouldn't start last week when i tried to fire it up, so i need to chase that down first (I think the fuel pump may have died....again.)
I'm also still waiting for 1 fitting to ship from summit, so I can finish converting the fuel lines to braided.
