TBI Cam
Ive done some searching already but have not found how big a cam i can run with a good set of heads. My setup is a 355 engine 10 to 1 compression Edelbrock alluminum heads with 1.5 rockers the springs are good to 560 its got hooker 2055 headers on it and all the tbi upgrades have been done. Gearing is 3:91 in the back and a 700r4. The cam i have in it now is comp 12-256-4
gross valve lift is 449 456
installed at 108
intake 212 exhaust 218
lobe separation is 112.0
I dont think im getting the max hp i can get out of my setup. Anyway let me know what you all think.
Thanks,
Toxinz

i have had the larger cam in now for 2 months. revs to 5800. needs 20 lbs FP. cruises at 62 mph minimum in overdrive. at prolonged idle the NB is getting fooled and goes rich at 13.3 to 13.5/1. that is not too bad. seems to stabilize idle. i think a 112 LSA would have worked as well. but that would have been rolling the dice.
