TBI swap to TPI

Car: '89 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 5.7L
Transmission: 700R4

TBI swap to TPI

I want to take my TPI off of my Firebird(going to miniram) and put it on my 93 C/K truck that is TBI.

I was thinking of splicing the injectors on the driver side into one of the fuel injectors and then splicing the other side into the other four injectors. Sensors should not be a problem since they all look at the same values and have the same reference voltage.

The truck has a MAP sensor, so I don't have to worry about the MAF sensor.

What problems will I run into? The big one I think I might run into, is with the duty cycle of the computer.

Has anyone done this before and kept the originla computer? I do NOT want to switch over to DFI or an aftermarket stand alone system.

I think you have an 8625 ECM, at least my '93 c/k truck does which operates the
4L 60E trans also. I haven't found anybody that knows if it can be used for TPI. If you come across somebody let me know too.
